Teaching objectives
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
Master Linux and the Red Hat Enterprise Linux ecosystem
Execute commands and view shell environments
Manage users, groups and user security policies
Controlling and monitoring systemd services
Configure remote access using web console and SSH
Configure network interfaces and parameters
Managing software with DNF

Intended audience
IT professionals with no experience of Linux system administration.

Prerequisites
Basic technical skills in computer applications running on certain operating systems.

Certification
This course prepares you for certification as a "Red Hat Certified System Administrator" (RHCSA) by taking the EX200 exam.

  • Solve problems using local help systems.

  • Manage text files from a command output or text editor.

  • Create, manage and delete local users and groups.
  • Manage local password policies.

  • Define different authorization levels on Linux file systems.
  • Interpret the effects of different authorization levels on safety.

Linux process monitoring and management

  • Evaluate and control processes running on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.
