How do I take the Red Hat exam?

You can take Red Hat exams remotely or on an individual exam station developed by Red Hat.

Remote exams can be taken virtually from your home (or any other suitable location) using a secure environment provided by Red Hat and monitored in real time by a remote examiner.
They can also be taken in person at an authorised training partner or Red Hat Testing Centre.

How do I register for a Red Hat exam?

Registration is done directly on the official Red Hat website. 


Exam registration is not included in the price of our Red Hat training courses.
You will be required to pay the registration fees, which vary depending on the exam.

Select the desired exam from the list, then complete your purchase online.
After registering, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule the date and time of your exam.

You will receive your results within five working days.
  • If you fail on your first attempt, you will be offered a second chance free of charge.
  • If you pass, you will receive a digital badge via the Credly platform.
