The project
Tailor-made remote project management training workshops

The need
The difficulty is that we all work from home (we don't have a physical office) and our knowledge of project management varies greatly, from beginners to experts.

Why did you choose ORSYS?
I was recruited by L214 partly to develop the training activity.

My first training project - in project management - with the organisation referenced at the time was very disappointing (negative feedback from the three employees trained), so my mission was to find a new, more 'qualitative' organisation.

Having worked with ORSYS for over five years during my previous professional experiences and having always been very satisfied with our collaboration, I immediately thought of them.


Project progress 
In the beginning
It all started with these dissatisfied employees who asked me to organise a new project management training session.

As this training could be useful to other employees, we modified the initial request. It was now a project of tailor-made training which would be offered to all the teams, the difficulty being that we all work from home (we don't have a physical office, we're scattered all over France) and the level of mastery of project management varies greatly from one employee to another.


The steps
Once the need had been identified, I contacted my ORSYS consultant. We quickly agreed on the format to adopt, and I then worked directly with the selected trainer-coach to refine the project:
  • a theoretical masterclass to provide all participants with a shared foundation of knowledge;
  • optional workshops to go further into the different stages and techniques (project scoping and launch, testing and delivery, etc.) and to develop soft skills such as leadership or cross-functional communication, with each employee able to choose one or more workshops according to their needs.

As teleworking is the norm, the masterclass and workshops are run remotely from the classroom.

Results
Management joined me to test the first masterclass session and, for the most part, approved the approach. The first participants are also satisfied with this format, which fully meets their expectations.
Initial feedback on the masterclass enabled the trainer to adjust the program for the next groups to be trained.

Our objective
To ensure that all employees have completed the shared foundation by 2023, before moving on to the workshops.
Thanks to this project, I am gradually building a true skills development culture within the organisation…
