Teaching objectives
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
Understanding Lean Management and its benefits at every level of the company
Identify Lean tools and methods and their purpose
Understand the phases of a Lean approach with the appropriate tools and methods
Know the standards and draw up the corresponding progress plan

Intended audience
Managers, quality managers, project managers, HR managers or CEOs wishing to understand the benefits of such a program.

Prerequisites
No special knowledge required.

Practical details
Hands-on work
30% theory, 30% examples based on real cases encountered by the trainer during his consulting work, 20% exercises, 20% discussion.

Course schedule

Lean, a radical paradigm shift

  • Learn about the origins of Lean Management: the people behind it. From Lean Manufacturing to Lean Management.
  • Understand this new approach to management: when problems become opportunities for improvement.
  • Situate the action: Gemba.
  • Analyze processes, retaining only those actions that add value for the customer.
  • Differentiate between classic continuous improvement and the elimination of waste: the seven wastes.
Hands-on work
Reflection on the "seven wastes" that may be present in participants' companies: processes that are too cumbersome, large inventories, unnecessary travel and transport, overproduction, etc.

Methods and implementation of a Lean approach

  • Distinguish between the 5 phases of Lean management implementation.
  • Understand and use the Value Stream Mapping method.
  • Choosing Kaizen improvement projects : step-by-step improvement".
  • Decide on 5S projects to improve organization.
  • Use the DMAIC cycle to solve problems (Define, Measure, Analyze, Innovate, Control).
  • Understand the main Lean management tools: project charter, QQOQCP, root cause analysis, etc.
Hands-on work
Study of an example of a VSM and Kaizen project. Training in the creation of a project charter.

The key to success: concomitant methods

  • Preserve equipment for as long as possible with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Apply 5S as the basis for Total Productive Maintenance.
  • Detect deviations from standards using visual management.
  • Training to standards with TWI (Training Within Industry).
Hands-on work
Assessment of the evolution of opinions on the Lean method and possible perspectives. Drawing up an action plan using QQOQCP and PDCA.
