Certification
A “Certified ISO 45001 Foundation“ certificate is issued to participants who have passed the exam and meet all other requirements related to this qualification.

Course schedule
1 Introduction to OHSMS concepts as defined by the ISO 45001 standard
- Situate the ISO 45001 standard within the normative and regulatory framework of occupational health and safety.
- Fundamental principles of occupational health and safety (OH&S).
- Situating the organization's context with respect to the ISO 45001 standard.
- Determining the roles of players, objectives, and priorities in the context of the ISO 45001 standard.
- Planning your Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) using the ISO 45001 standard.
Hands-on work
Quiz on concepts related to occupational health and safety. Debriefing and discussions with participants.
2 OHSMS-related requirements and certification exam
- Overseeing documentation management in the context of implementing the ISO 45001 standard.
- Prioritizing and implementing prevention measures from the Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
- Assessing the compliance and performance of the actions taken.
- Spotting undesirable events in the enacted Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
- Implementing corrective actions to achieve continuous improvement.
Hands-on work
Quiz on the requirements of the ISO 45001 standard. Debriefing and discussions with participants.
3 Certified ISO 45001 Foundation exam
- Overview of the certification process in the context of the ISO 45001 Foundation standard.
- Domain 1: Fundamental concepts and principles of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Domain 2: Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
Hands-on work
Taking the one-hour “Certified ISO 45001 Foundation” exam.

PREREQUISITES
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.

• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.
