1 How group strategies work
- The role of group strategies.
- How GPOs work.
- Inheritance and object linking.
- GPO processing exceptions.
- Callback loops.
Hands-on work
Creating and linking Group Policy objects. Filter object deployment.
2 Managing GPOs with GPMC
- GPO Starter.
- GPO delegation.
- Update GPOs, control GPO descents.
- View and modify the status of GPO replications in the domain.
Hands-on work
Create and use Starter. Search and filter settings in GPOs.
3 Administration templates and WMI filtering
- The central warehouse.
- ADMX and ADML models.
- ADMX custom templates.
- Create advanced filtering with WMI filters.
Hands-on work
Create central store. Add administration templates. Create WMI filters.
4 Configure preference settings
- Principle of preference settings.
- Implementation of preference settings.
- Targeting parameters with the Targeting Editor.
- Task planning.

Configure IE configuration preferences, network drives and scheduled tasks.
5 General policies
- Printer deployment.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
