This course teaches you to develop the practical and theoretical skills essential for managing and securing IT assets, covering a wide range of current technologies and practices.


Teaching objectives
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
Deploying supervision tools
Implement a preventive maintenance approach
Upgrade hardware, operating systems and software
Securing and monitoring IT assets and networks

Intended audience
IT technicians and professionals wishing to specialize in the management of computer systems and networks.

Prerequisites
Hold a level 4 professional qualification or a baccalaureate, and/or have 1 to 2 years' professional experience in the sector or field.

Certification
The skills block is validated by means of a simulated situation. The assessment must be carried out in the context of mastering system supervision with SCOM 2012, service management including hacking and security, installing and configuring Check Point R81, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Server 2019 and installing and administering Windows 11.

Administer and supervise your systems and networks

  • Define a network administration strategy.
  • Use system commands to observe system operation.
  • Use Open Source administration tools: SmokePing, Munin, SNMP, MRTG, Nmap, AIDE and Nagios.

SCOM 2012, systems supervision

  • Install and configure System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2012.
  • Configure client monitoring.
  • Create a customized report.
  • Backup and restore System Center Operations Manager.

ITSM, IT service management, discovery

  • Identify the benefits of a "best practices" approach to service management and IS governance.
  • Understand ITSM terminology and concepts.
  • Understand the added value of ITSM best practices.

GLPI and OCS Inventory, mastering IT asset management

  • Install and configure GLPI and OCS Inventory.
  • Manipulate and navigate the GLPI interface.
  • Configure and manage various authentication modes in GLPI.
  • Synchronize and manage inventory between GLPI and OCS Inventory.

System and network security

  • Know the vulnerabilities and threats of information systems.
  • Master the role of various safety equipment.
  • Design and implement an appropriate security architecture.
  • Implement the main network security measures.

Hacking and security, level 1

  • Understand hacker techniques and counter their attacks.
  • Measure the security level of your information system.
  • Perform a penetration test.
  • Define the impact and scope of a vulnerability.

Check Point R81, installation and configuration

  • Describe FortiGate functionalities.
  • Install and configure the firewall.
  • Implement a network and application filtering strategy.
  • Implement an SSL and IPSEC VPN.

Windows Server 2019, maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Acquire the knowledge and skills required for server maintenance.
  • Monitor performance.
  • Set up an efficient backup and restore system.
  • Manage ACLs on objects.
  • Set up audits on a server.

Windows 11, Installation and administration

  • Install, configure and set up a computer with Windows 11.
  • Customize the working environment: components on MMC consoles, user space.
  • Perform routine administration tasks with Windows 11.
  • Install and uninstall programs with Windows.
  • Backup and restore.
PARTICIPANTS
IT technicians and professionals wishing to specialize in the management of computer systems and networks.

PREREQUISITES
Hold a level 4 professional qualification or a baccalaureate, and/or have 1 to 2 years' professional experience in the sector or field.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.

ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.

TEACHING AIDS AND TECHNICAL RESOURCES
• The main teaching aids and instructional methods used in the training are audiovisual aids, documentation and course material, hands-on application exercises and corrected exercises for practical training courses, case studies and coverage of real cases for training seminars.
• At the end of each course or seminar, ORSYS provides participants with a course evaluation questionnaire that is analysed by our instructional teams.
• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.

TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
