1 Installing and using Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana

2 How Elasticsearch works
- Introducing Apache Lucene.
- Architecture as a Cloud and key concepts (cluster, node, etc.).

Hands-on work
Data storage in Elasticsearch. Importing data. Administration and first simple search queries.

No particular problem. The 'snag' is the same as every time there are ~10 people more or less at ease with cli commands, configuration files, etc. The fast people wait for the others and can get frustrated at not being able to do other things. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
