Certification
This course prepares participants to take the Scrum League™ icSM Scrum Master certification. The exam, in French, is included and taken at the end of the course. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, answered in 50 minutes. Getting 85% correct is required to pass.

Teaching methods
Training conducted in a participatory manner. Interactive workshops, role-playing. Continuous adaptation to the participants’ needs. Analysis and sharing of experiences.

1 Agility overview
- New needs.
- The agile culture (introducing a change, characteristics).
- Principles and benefits.
- Origins and manifesto.
- Implementing agility: appropriate cases, inappropriate cases.
Group discussion
Learn agility concepts.
2 Overview of the Scrum memento
- How do you define Scrum? An empirical process. Its pillars and values.
- Different roles within Scrum: the Scrum master, the product owner and the development team.
- Detailed overview of artifacts: product backlog, sprint backlog and increment.
- Other notions: sprint 0, definition of done, spotlight on the Burndown chart.
- Overview of events: sprint, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospective.
- What is an event? Overview.
- What is an artifact?
- Another event: the daily Scrum.
Role-playing
Scrum mapping. Analysis and discussion about roles.
3 The different Scrum master activities.
- Working with stakeholders.
- Skills and qualities of a Scrum master.
- Best practices to master.
- Examples of best practices for estimates, user stories, visual management and retrospectives.
- Being both a servant leader and an agile coach.
- Identifying problems and assisting the team in their decision making.
- Expecting to deal with conflicts within the team.
- Be able to foster team cohesion and shared values.
Hands-on work
The Scrum Master and the team. Estimation techniques.
4 Preparation for certification
- Registration for the exam.

The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
