The project
Designing a customised hybrid management training programme
The need
We had identified a need for management training for heads of department recently appointed as local managers and for operations managers heading up technical teams.
We wanted to offer them tailor-made operational training on the basics of management and people management.
So we needed a training adapted to our audience and a sympathetic trainer who listens attentively.
We also wanted to use a hybrid format (face-to-face followed by distance learning), as our teams are spread across the country.
ORSYS is an organisation I've worked with before.
We organised an in-company training course entitled "How to position yourself and win public tenders".
At the end of 2022, Henri, our dedicated contact and training consultant, contacted me just as we had identified the need for management training. The timing was perfect.

Preparation
Henri understood our needs very well, the preparation of the course was flawless: contact, analysis of our needs, presentation of the ORSYS trainer selected;In fact, we presented the profiles of the various participants to the trainer beforehand, so that the training could be adapted as effectively as possible.
This is a major first for Kiloutou Module, as our employees have never taken this type of training before.
Deployment
The training programme took place as planned, in two stages.
Firstly, a two-day face-to-face training course in Paris, in March 2023, we will be holding a seminar on the operational basics of management. This session brought together around ten people from all over the country, which was greatly appreciated by the teams who never see each other and who were able to discuss their practices live.
This was followed by three videoconference sessions dedicated to feedback in April, June and the last one in September. Participants have already been able to apply best practice. In fact, some branches are already seeing changes.
The training was so well received by our teams that the team leaders also wanted to take the course. So we're repeating the project in September for all those who didn't take part in the first session!
The programme will be different, as it will be adapted to the profiles of the participants (two branch managers will also be trained). In all, 25 to 30 people will have been trained.
