Simulation comparing push, pull and just-in-time flows, enabling participants to visualize the key benefits of Kanban.
Course schedule
1 Discover the relevance of Kanban
- Clarify the usual questions raised by Kanban.
- Discover Kanban and its implementation through the example of pharmacies.
- A heuristic approach to sizing Kanban loops.
- Identify the impact of Kanban on inventory reduction.
Hands-on work
Jeu de simulation flux poussés, tirés, tendus.

2 Kanban principles
- Control requirements using the Kanban tag.
- Applying Kanban principles. Workshop operations.
- Master the fundamental differences between push, pull and just-in-time flows.
- Understand the contribution of the different Kanban variants: choose the one best suited to your company's needs.
Group discussion
Comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of push and pull flows.
3 Successful initial implementation and daily monitoring of Kanban
- Identify the benefits of Kanban in terms of production management.
- Be aware of the limits of Kanban in production management.
- Building the Kanban workshop management board: dimensioning the 3 zones.
- Daily use of the table: managing priorities and points of vigilance.
Hands-on work
Calculation of Kanban loops and thresholds for the Kanban control panel. Sub-group work and collective debriefing.
4 Sustain the use of Kanban in the company
- Make Kanban more reliable and improve it through appropriate monitoring.
- Adapt Kanban to variations in demand.
- Distinguish the advantages and limitations of Kanban compared with MRP.
- Tightening flows with Kanban.
- Identify the benefits of Kanban management software: its differentiating features.
Hands-on work
Creation of a GANTT diagram for Kanban implementation. Work in sub-groups and collective debriefing.

Managers and supervisors working mainly in workshops, planning/MRP, supply chain and logistics departments, warehouses and IS/ERP.
PREREQUISITES
No special knowledge required.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
