Business waste regulations are one of the most complex areas of French law. This training course will enable you to understand the rights and duties of each player involved, in order to secure or validate the regulatory compliance of your practices and those of your service providers.
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
Learn the language specific to waste to be able to characterize it
Have a global vision of French waste policy and its application to economic activities
Understand the main waste recovery and disposal processes applicable to your business
Understanding roles and responsibilities from producer to final disposer

Hands-on work
Case studies. Exercises. Workshop to design a waste management procedure or analysis of procedures provided by participants.
Teaching methods
Methodological input. Active and participative pedagogy. Work in sub-groups based on documents provided by participants (traceability documents, procedures).

Discover the language specific to waste management
Evaluate the scope of the definition of the terms "holder" and "waste".
Decode official and common acronyms.
Understand the keys to sorting waste from your activities.
Exercise
Characterize a selection of waste by family according to hazard and value.

Integrate the regulatory framework for business waste management
Understand the hierarchy of waste management levels.
Identify authorized disposal channels for each type of waste.
Understand the importance of EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility).
Group discussion
Make the link between treatment and authorized management levels for a selection of wastes.

Assessing the requirements applicable to a waste producer in concrete terms
Understand the requirements applicable to on-site sorting and temporary storage.
Identify the points of vigilance associated with removal.
Case study
Identify points of vigilance on a sample of situations.

Understand the rights and duties of the various players in the management chain
Define requirements for intermediaries (collectors, traders).
Specify the link between ICPE regulations and waste management activities.
Characterize the consequences and penalties for infringements.

Search for documents justifying the regulatory compliance of the waste management channel for a selection of wastes.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TEACHING AIDS AND TECHNICAL RESOURCES • The main teaching aids and instructional methods used in the training are audiovisual aids, documentation and course material, hands-on application exercises and corrected exercises for practical training courses, case studies and coverage of real cases for training seminars.
• At the end of each course or seminar, ORSYS provides participants with a course evaluation questionnaire that is analysed by our instructional teams.
• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.
