Improve information collection via Google Tag Manager

  • Create GA4 events in GTM: e-commerce event, iframe...
  • Use the different types of variables: cookies, custom JavaScript, data layer, RGPD impacts.
  • Define and check implementation of advanced GTM settings (Chrome extensions, DebugView, etc.).
  • Implement server-side and measure impacts on site performance and RGPD.

  • Understand and use the different types of triggers: DOM, page view, consent...
  • Set up an advanced tag with custom variables.

As the trainer said, this course is aimed primarily at people who already work on GTM, which is not necessarily the case for me. I would have preferred to go back to the basics, so the course wasn't necessarily adapted to my level and needs, but the content was interesting and inspiring.

The trainer relied very little on documentation and gave priority to practice, which is very good. However, the training was immediately very technical and practical for someone who had never used GTM before. It would have been better to get to grips with it less quickly. I made a lot of progress in one day, but the learning curve is very dense. The training goes into a lot of detail, but what I really needed was more basic training on how to use GTM.
