Teaching methods
The DUC course is the entry-level course, and must be taken at the beginning of the cycle. We recommend that you take the AME and LMI courses in this order. MGP and MOT can be taken at any time during the cycle.

  • Identify the differences between Total Quality, Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma® and continuous improvement.
  • Know the basic concept: PDCA.
  • Manage a continuous improvement project.
  • Define basic project management tools: schedule, resource management, progress.
  • Planning stages: sharing the diagnosis, opening, progress and closing meetings.
  • Learn how to use the right diagnostic tool.
  • Choose a SMART objective.
  • Solve the problem as close to the ground as possible.

  • Recognize customer and supplier objectives.
  • Distinguish between the five production typologies.
  • MRP fundamentals - Requirements calculation.
  • Understand the successive levels of calculation and their characteristics.
  • Master the detailed mechanisms for calculating MRP/CBN quantities.
  • Workshop scheduling and launch.
  • Understand the roles of launching and scheduling.
  • Know the different scheduling criteria, their relevance and limits.
  • Procurement and inventory management with MRP.
  • Understand classic supply methods.
  • Understand the content and application of procurement plans.
  • New modes of collaboration in the extended enterprise.
  • Understand new modes of customer-supplier collaboration.
  • Choose the most appropriate flow management method.
Hands-on work
Discussions on current customer requirements in terms of supply chain and lead times. Introductory MRP calculations. Production of PDP and CBN calculation tables. Analysis of the impact of Supply Chain contingencies on CBN.

  • Discover Lean Manufacturing.
  • Understand the context and history of the Lean Manufacturing approach.
  • Understand the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
