Analyze and optimize production processes using Value Stream Mapping
Manage teams to involve them in the process
Improve the performance of your industrial production

Creation of a set of scenarios to identify the main concepts.

Discover Lean Manufacturing

  • Understand the context and history of the Lean Manufacturing approach.
  • Understand the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Identify the different types of waste.
  • Distinguish between Lean Manufacturing indicators (TRS, Takt Time, surface area, inventory, distances, productivity, OTIF).
Storyboarding workshops
Concept presentation and discussion.

Describe and diagnose the production process

  • Describe the process using Value Stream Mapping.
  • Identify and calculate the added and non-added values of the process.
  • Respecting the requested delivery rate: calculation of Takt Time.
  • Calculate process quality performance.
  • Build the Value Stream Mapping objective on the process.
  • Formalize an action plan to achieve the chosen objective.
Hands-on work
Production process simulation: construction of Value Stream Mapping in working groups. Large-group presentation of results and debriefing by the speaker.

Pull flow: tools for optimizing the process

  • Implementing Just-in-Time with Kanban.
  • Process optimization with TPM: TPM strengths, implementation and challenges.
  • Reduce the time between production runs with SMED: carrying out the various stages.
  • Improving efficiency with 5S: benefits, points to watch out for, how to carry out the various stages.
Group discussion
Game of questions on the selection and use of different tools.

Applying and enforcing standards

  • Maintain 5S results with visual management.
  • Using visual management to lead a team.
  • Understanding the role of Kaizen events.
  • Capitalize on best practices.
  • Monitor progress through regular daily activities (AIC).
Hands-on work
Simulation of a company AIC meeting: agenda and moderation.
