Intended audience
Application developers and administrators.
Prerequisites
SQL and PL/SQL are preferred but not mandatory. Notions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript are required.

1 Introduction
- Installation and configuration of Application Express.
- Use of database objects.
- Presentation of the user interface.
- Manage and maintain the application development process.
- Workspace login page.
- Workspace home page.
Hands-on work
Get to grips with the environment and create a workspace.
2 Application Builder
- Create simple applications.
- Create forms and regions.
- Create query-based reports.
- Create interactive reports and customize presentations.
- Authentication model definition.
- Theme creation and management.
- Theme selection and copying of shared components.
Hands-on work
Creating an application with forms and reports.
3 Event management
- Triggering processes.
- Graph creation and interactivity.
- Implementation of session variables.
- Setting controls on forms.
- Create interactive reports based on dynamic queries.
Hands-on work
Creating interactive graphs and reports.
4 Dynamic actions
- JavaScript programming of input controls in APEX forms.
- Read and write access to APEX form data from stored procedures.
- Techniques for triggering PL/SQL calculations in the background.
- Create dynamic tree structures based on Oracle views.
- Definition of master-detail structures.
- Cascading selection lists.
- Programming PL/SQL controls on tabular forms.
Hands-on work
Creation of master-detail reports and cascading picklists.
5 Workspace administration
- Application Express organization.
- Roles in Application Express.
- Application Express Administrator mode access.
- Create workspaces and edit various parameters.
- Increase the size of a workspace.
Hands-on work
Workspace creation and management.

Application developers and administrators.
PREREQUISITES
SQL and PL/SQL are preferred but not mandatory. Notions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript are required.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
