Teaching methods
Interactive training on the keys to the ethical approach (introduction to reflection based on typical situations) aimed at supporting the ethical approach project within one's establishment.
Course schedule
1 Ethical issues and definitions
- Identify the definition of ethics, its challenges and limits.
- Understand the notion of ethics and its impact on the professional environment.
Hands-on work
Discussions with participants on the notion of ethics and its place in the daily life of their establishments.
2 Applying the ethical approach
- Use the ethical approach or methodology to resolve ethical dilemmas.
- Managing an ethical project.
- Apply the methodology of the ethical approach to care.
Hands-on work
Sub-group application of the ethical approach methodology based on concrete situations presented by the trainer.
3 Ethics in the health, education and social sectors.
- Integrating ethics into caregiving practices: the changing relationship between caregiver and patient.
- Distinguish between professional responsibilities and ethics.
- Carry out an ethical approach based on the proposed methodology.
- Formulate and express the ethical dilemma.
- Identify the role of each professional in an ethical dilemma.
Hands-on work
Practical application based on a case study or participants' own situation.
4 Main ethical conflicts encountered in healthcare practice
- Medically assisted reproduction.
- End of life, refusal of care, palliative care.
- Consent, information, secrecy.
- Autonomy, dependence, disability.
- Biomedical research.
- Cell, tissue and organ donation and transplants.
Hands-on work
Discussions between participants and case studies on themes developed according to participants' expectations and needs.
5 Ethics and interdisciplinary practices
- Apply ethics in professional practice to teamwork.
- Associating ethics with the concept of care.
- Analyze your professional posture.
Hands-on work
Case studies presented by participants.

PREREQUISITES
No special knowledge required.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.

• At the end of each course or seminar, ORSYS provides participants with a course evaluation questionnaire that is analysed by our instructional teams.
• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.
