Hands-on work
Production of video content as seen on web TV or news websites.
Teaching methods
Training alternates theory and practice. Everything we learn is put into practice.
Course schedule
1 Introduction to video in general
- Definition of a general production flow.
- Definition of the technical characteristics of a video.
- Basic theoretical approach to assembly.
Hands-on work
Discussion of production workflows. Analysis of the characteristics of supplied video images and examples of online videos.
2 Project creation and rush import
- Organization of work files.
- Importing sources.
- Pre-assembly reading.
Hands-on work
Create a project and import video sources.
3 Assembly techniques and tools
- Tools for selecting, deleting and moving planes.
- Working on connections and trimming plans (trim).
- Clip cutting.
Hands-on work
Handling editing tools in the timeline.
4 Audio editing and mixing
- Audio level adjustment.
- Use of different types of audio (music, speech...).
- Use advanced audio tools.
Hands-on work
Mixing in the timeline with several sound tracks (voice-over, music, etc.).
5 Transformations and effects
- Mastery of transformation tools (position, scale, cropping, etc.).
- Putting transitions into practice.
- Create panorama and zoom effects.
- Set the speed of a shot.
Hands-on work
Modify values in the transform tool, add effects and transitions to an element. Manipulate the speed of video elements (accelerated, slow motion).
6 Inserting titles
- Add and modify a basic title.
- Use of titration models.
- Installation and modification of new titling templates.
Hands-on work
Create different types of video titling.
7 Video export
- Automatic export setting.
- Advanced settings.
Hands-on work
Test different export parameters.
PARTICIPANTS
Multimedia project managers, webmasters, journalists, video technicians, anyone who handles video files.
PREREQUISITES
Basic knowledge of digital editing. Experience with a consumer video editing application desirable.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.

Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
