Definitions and legislation on professional secrecy

  • Identify the issues and limits of professional secrecy.
  • Identify persons bound by professional secrecy.
  • Know the definition of secrecy and other concepts: secrecy and confidentiality, discretion and duty of reserve.
  • Understand the sources of obligation: ethical and moral, legal or contractual.
Hands-on work
Discussions with participants on their knowledge of legislation on the subject and the situation in their respective plants.

Application of professional secrecy

  • Know how professional secrecy applies to the person concerned.
  • Enforce professional secrecy with respect to third parties: families, insurers, employers, etc.
  • Identify the link between responsibility and secrecy: criminal, civil, administrative and disciplinary liability.
  • Know the exceptions to secrecy: legal or contractual exceptions.
  • Using connected tools in the hospital.
  • Understanding social networking issues.
Hands-on work
Analysis of situations suggested by the trainer and discussion of those encountered by participants.
