Teaching objectives
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
Understanding the importance of targeted transmissions in the quality of care
Combining clinical reasoning, the diagnostic approach and written communications
Apply the methodology of targeted transmissions as a reflection and tool of the care approach
Affirming, through targeted transmissions, the specificity of caregivers in the multidisciplinary team
Communicate with a common, precise and rigorous vocabulary
Meeting legislative requirements: liability, traceability

Intended audience
Healthcare staff and any other paramedical professionals concerned.

Setting the general framework for targeted transmissions

  • Understand the clinical areas of nursing practice where CT is applied.
  • See how CTs fit into the care process.
  • Understand the link between CT, quality of care criteria and the quality approach.
  • Know the legal framework of the care file.
Storyboarding workshops
Discussions on the gap between expected models and the reality of nursing practice.

Understanding the methodology of targeted transmissions

  • Understand what macro-targeting means.
  • Distinguish between dominant and event-driven targets.
  • Respect the levels of the targeted transmission methodology: data, action and result.
  • Draw up the activity diagram.
  • Use wall planning.
Demonstration
Using clinical situations to illustrate each of the points covered.

Developing taxonomy as a professional language

  • Draw up a catalog of defined situations, propose actions to be implemented.
  • Linking target taxonomy and nursing diagnosis.
  • Know the different ways of classifying care situations according to specific criteria.
  • Identify the different models: basic needs model, everyday actions model, etc.
  • Understand the pedagogical value of the approach.

Preparing targeted transmission media

  • Define specific care objectives.
  • List recurring, dominant targets.
  • Create an activity grid.
  • Identify frequently encountered difficulties and suggest relevant terminologies.
Hands-on work
Based on situations provided by participants, development of support materials.

Understanding the relationship between written and oral communications

  • Use the activity diagram: vertical and horizontal reading.
  • Communicate using a precise, concise and rigorous vocabulary.
  • Discern what is useful to write and what is not.
