1 Safety fundamentals
- What is safety?
- The new challenges of safety in the current context.
- Optimizing security with Windows: new features.
- Overview of the new security features in Windows 11.
Hands-on work
Using the new security features in Windows 11.
2 Windows 11 startup security
- The UEFI contribution.
- The TPM 2.0 chip and BitLocker.
- BitLocker recovery key management.
- The different Windows authentication methods.
Hands-on work
Encrypting a system partition with BitLocker. Saving the BitLocker recovery key.
3 System and file security
- NTFS rights management.
- UAC.
- Windows Update and WSUS.
- Securing system files using restore points.
- History of user files.
- Backup and System Image.
- The registry.
- Test your system's security with MBSA.
Hands-on work
Setup, creation and restoration using restore points.
4 Equipment safety
- Driver signature management.
- Secure driver installation with DriverStore.
- Dynamic disk management.
Hands-on work
Check driver signatures. Add drivers to DriverStore.
5 Network security
- TCP/IP configuration.
- Defender firewall.
- VPN connection.
Hands-on work
Adjust firewall rules.
6 Application security
- Windows Store applications.
- The new Amazon AppStore applications.
- Secure browsing with Web browser settings.
- The task manager.
- Monitor applications: dependent services and startup.
- Block the use of applications with AppLocker.
Hands-on work
Remove applications from the Store using Powershell Appx commands. Disable services. Optimize applications launched unnecessarily at startup.
7 Optimization and performance
- The new Windows 11 Settings menu options.
- The performance monitor.
- Visualize events using the reliability monitor.
- The resource monitor: a check-up of your PC.
Hands-on work
Detect a problem or slowdown using Windows 11 resource, performance and reliability monitors.

PREREQUISITES
Good knowledge of Windows 11 administration.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
