Authentifications, géolocalisations et horodatages d’images et vidéos.
Identifications de stratégies de désinformation. Vérifications d’affirmations politiques, scientifiques, sociales… Réalisations de fact-checkings.
Teaching methods
Alternating theoretical inputs, practical presentations and hands-on exercises.

1 Fact-checking still and moving images
- The history and definition of fact-checking
- The players, motivations, strategies, methods and tools of image-based disinformation
- Images taken out of context: how to find the original image
- The location lie: geotagging an image
- The lie about temporality: time-stamping an image
- Photomontages
- Images generated by artificial intelligence: how to spot them?
- Weather to the rescue of investigators

2 Fact-checking assertions/arguments
- The actors, motivations, strategies, methods and tools of discursive disinformation
- The sources you need to know to be a good fact-checker
- Increasing and capitalizing on sources: knowing how to exploit them quickly

Journalists, editors and anyone else responsible for investigations requiring a document or assertion to be verified, validated or contradicted by facts.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.

• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.
