1 Introduction
- What is batch processing?
- The solutions proposed by Java.
- Spring Batch architecture: Job, Step, Tasklet, ItemReader, ItemWriter.
Hands-on work
Create a simple Spring project and integrate Spring Batch.
2 Job configuration
- Job creation: JobRepository, JobLauncher.
- Steps configuration: StepBuilderFactory.
- Tasklet definition: execution of customized tasks.
- Job execution: launch and follow-up.
Hands-on work
Set up a simple Job to read a CSV file, process the data and write to an output file.
3 ItemReaders
- ItemReader interface: reading items.
- Common implementations: FlatFileItemReader, JdbcPagingItemReader.
- Customizing an ItemReader.
- Exception handling during playback.
Hands-on work
Create a custom ItemReader to read data from a database.
4 ItemWriters
- ItemWriter interface: item writing.
- Common implementations: FlatFileItemWriter, JdbcBatchItemWriter.
- Customizing an ItemWriter.
- Exception handling during writing.

The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
