Prerequisites
Solid grounding in video editing.
Course schedule
1 Workflow and interface
- Discover the Color module: interface, terminology, window organization.
- Project management: creation, import from Premiere Pro, parameter configuration.
- Nodes and tree structure: principles, node types and connection logic.
Hands-on work
Set up your first node tree and manage a complete session.
2 Primary corrections
- Automatic vs. manual corrections.
- Tonal and colorimetric balance: wheels, lift/gamma/gain, contrasts.
- Curves and qualifiers for fine-tuning.
- Transferring grades between similar plans
Hands-on work
Calibrate a mini-film to homogenize your rushes.
3 Secondary corrections
- Advanced selections: qualifiers, Power Windows, tracking.
- Reverse knots and masking to isolate your subjects.
- Discover Power Windows.
Hands-on work
Calibrate with masks using Power Windows.
4 Creative styles and LUTs
- Creation of stylized looks: black and white, partial turns.
- Using LUTs: importing, adapting and exporting.
- Magic Bullet Looks plugin: setup and integration.
- Stabilization and noise reduction.
Hands-on work
Design and save your presets.
5 Export and final workflow
- Choice of codecs and containers (ProRes, H.264, DNxHR...).
- Default settings and export presets.
- Optimization for broadcast: web, TV, streaming.
Hands-on work
Multi-format export and quality control.

PREREQUISITES
Solid grounding in video editing.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
