The ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor training course gives you the expertise you need to audit artificial intelligence management systems (AIMS) using widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques.


Teaching objectives
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:
Explain the fundamental concepts and principles of an IA management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001
Interpret the IA management system requirements of ISO/IEC 42001 from an auditor's point of view
Assess the conformity of an IA management system to the requirements of ISO/IEC 42001, in accordance with the fundamental concepts and principles of auditing.
Plan, conduct and close an ISO/IEC 42001 compliance audit, in line with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO 19011 guidelines and other auditing best practices.
Managing an ISO/IEC 42001 audit program

Intended audience
Internal or external audit professionals wishing to specialize in the audit of AI management systems; managers, consultants and compliance officers involved in the implementation and monitoring of an AI management system; AI governance experts and consultants; professionals involved in the needs analysis, development, integration or architecture of artificial intelligence solutions.

Prerequisites
Have a basic understanding of the IEC 42001 standard and IA principles and concepts.

Certification
The exam consists of answering 80 questions in 3h00 open book. On completion of the course, a certificate of completion will be issued for 31 FPC (Continuing Professional Development) credits. Candidates who have taken the course but failed the exam can retake it once free of charge, within 12 months of the initial exam date.

  • Conducting interviews and collecting evidence.
  • Assessment of compliance with ISO/IEC 42001 requirements.
  • Process analysis for AI systems.
  • Identification and formulation of non-conformities.

PREREQUISITES
Have a basic understanding of the IEC 42001 standard and IA principles and concepts.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.

ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.

TEACHING AIDS AND TECHNICAL RESOURCES
• The main teaching aids and instructional methods used in the training are audiovisual aids, documentation and course material, hands-on application exercises and corrected exercises for practical training courses, case studies and coverage of real cases for training seminars.
• At the end of each course or seminar, ORSYS provides participants with a course evaluation questionnaire that is analysed by our instructional teams.
• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.

Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
