Fundamental knowledge of testing processes and basic Web programming skills.
Course schedule
1 Introduction
- Why automate mobile testing?
- Benefits and limits of mobile automation.
- Choose which tests to automate.
2 Appium basics
- Supported platforms (versions, programming languages, OS, etc.).
- How Appium works (features and components).
- Appium command line (Shell).
Hands-on work
Set up and configure a test environment with Appium.
3 Appium in operational mode
- Appium client and server.
- Configuration with IDE and Katalon Studio.
- Manual scripts.
- Custom log files.
- Test reports.
Hands-on work
Manual scripting and test report generation.
4 Improved scripts
- Methods "WebElement" / "Native Element".
- Creation of the target object map.
- Modularization test.
Hands-on work
Improve scripts already created.
5 The automation procedure
- Deploy target application on emulator/terminal.
- Configuring Appium services.
- Creating automation on a prototype emulator/terminal.
Hands-on work
On the basis of different test scenarios, design and run test scripts with Appium and analyze the results.

Fundamental knowledge of testing processes and basic Web programming skills.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
