2 Discover Information Design Tool
- First connection to the application.
- Creating a project. Sessions.
- Repository resources.
- Connection management. Shortcuts.
Exercise
Create a project. Create a connection based on E Mode data and an Excel file.
3 Data foundation
- What is a data foundation? How it works.
- Table and join management, optimization concepts.
- View presentation and management.
- Families. Data profiling.
- Calculated and time columns.
- Derived tables.
Exercise
Creation of a multi-source data foundation based on two connections.
4 Creating management layers
- Creation of a relational management layer.
- Creating classes and objects.
- Object properties. Candidate objects.
- Management layer views.
- Format editor.
Exercise
Creation of a relational management layer.
5 Maintain and optimize universes
- The parameters of the universe.
- Manage structure, update. Check integrity.
- Solving loops with aliases and contexts.
- Object navigation paths.
Exercise
Using the integrity test on a universe with loops. Resolution via context creation.
6 Test and distribute universes
- Introduction to the query editor.
- How do I create a query?
- Data filtering in a query.
- Value profiling. Universe publication.
- Convert a ".unv" file to ".unx".
Exercise
Insert a query and use filters.
7 Safety management
- Presentation of safety issues.
- Insert and modify a data security and management profile.
- Assign security profiles to users.
Exercise
Create a management data security profile. Assign security to a user.

The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
