Course schedule
1 MDX concepts and language
- Cognos offer presentation.
- MDX (MultiDimensional eXpressions) functions.
Hands-on work
Case study and special features of the MDX language.
2 Creating a data model with Cognos Transformer
- Import data. Create calculations and indicators.
- Data typing. Dimension creation.
- Differentiated aggregation of indicators.
- Creation of calculated categories.
- Data security.
- Data visualization from Transformer.
3 Creating a data model with Cube Designer
- Data import.
- Create calculations and indicators.
- Data typing.
- Creating dimensions.
- In-memory management.
- Creation of calculated categories.
- Data visualization from Cube Designer.
Hands-on work
Case study, creation of a Cube Designer model.
4 Viewing cubes in the Cognos portal and manipulating them in Rapport
- Publication of Transformer cubes.
- Publication of Designer cubes.
- Options for displaying cubes on the Cognos portal.
- Safety.
- Handling cubes in Rapport.

Publish and manipulate cubes.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
