1 Introduction
- Database concepts.
- An introduction to Crystal Reports and third-party tools.
- A presentation of data sources.
- Different types of reports.
- Design versus preview.
- Different ways of distributing reports.
2 Creating a simple report
- Connecting to a data source, selecting tables, creating joins.
- Selection of data to be displayed.
- Creation of groups and totals.
- Data filtering.
- Graph creation. Report formatting.
Hands-on work
Create a first report from several tables.
3 Additional functions
- Record filters versus group filters.
- Creating formulas.
- Summary fields and cumulative totals.
- Record sorting.
- Groups and group sorting.
- Conditional formatting.
Hands-on work
Creation of more complex reports with indicator calculations and highlighting of results.
4 Advanced functions
- Work on report structure, section creation, dynamic structure.
- Parameter field.
- Using variables.
- Create pivot tables.
- Adding advanced calculations to a pivot table.
- Creation of sub-reports (standard, on-demand).
Hands-on work
Enrich reports, create advanced calculations and complex formatting.
5 Formatting
- Creating a model.
- Table creation (frames, lines).
- Field positioning and sizing.
- Page background management.
- Dynamic image management.
Hands-on work
Advanced formatting.
6 Report distribution
- Save and publish reports.
- Impressions.
- Export formats. Different formats: HTML, XLS, PDF... Export configuration.
- Third-party solutions (Crystal Reports Server, Crystal Scheduler, Crystal Viewer, etc.).

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
