Course schedule
1 Introducing Drupal
- Drupal's positioning in relation to other CMS.
- Main features.
- Architecture: Nodes, Core, Modules, Themes.
- Multilingual management.
- Install Drupal on a local or remote server.
Hands-on work
Demonstration of sites designed with Drupal. Install the site.
2 Creating and managing content
- Content types.
- Define content options.
- Contents: create, edit, access, delete, search.
- Configure the display of a content type.
Hands-on work
Create a custom content type.
3 Taxonomies
- Create vocabularies.
- Associate a vocabulary with a type of content.
- Work with different vocabularies.
4 The navigation system
- Create a menu.
- Add a menu item.
Hands-on work
Addition of a menu-based navigation system to access content and services from the home page.
5 The blocks
- Position blocks on a page.
- Block configuration.
- Create custom blocks.
6 The modules
- Install and configure a module.
- Views, Panels, Nicemenus, Nodequeues, Webform modules.
- Token module.
- SEO modules (Pathauto, Metatag, Google Analytics, RDF and Schema.org).
Hands-on work
Install and configure new modules (Webform...).
7 The themes
- How it works.
- Install and configure a new theme.
- Customize a theme.
Hands-on work
Install and configure a new theme.
8 Administering a Drupal site
- Administrator tasks.
- Users, roles, permissions.
- Save and restore the site.
- Monitor site activity.
- Putting a Drupal site into production.

PREREQUISITES
Basic knowledge of website design and HTML/CSS languages.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
