1 Fundamental concepts of Joomla!
- Overview. The different versions.
- Application fields, industrial references.
- CMS structure and functionality.
- Joomla! architecture.

2 First steps with Joomla!
- Installation and configuration of Joomla! on a local server. Site configuration.
- Adapt language and model. The workspace.

Getting started with Joomla! Installation and configuration.
3 Joomla! administration interface structure
- Getting to grips with the administration interface.
- Content management and administration.
- Extension management: the Components and Extensions menus.
Hands-on work
Handling the Joomla! interface.
4 Creating Web page content with Joomla!
- Categories and articles.
- Define item parameters.
- Management of deleted items, images and text.
- Create a link or insert an anchor.
- The navigation system. Inserting a table or layer.

5 Manage users
- Roles and permissions. Create user accounts.
- Manage users and a collaborative site.

6 Templates
- Architecture of a template file. The templateDetails.xml file.

7 Enriching Web pages with extensions
- Testing pre-installed modules.

PREREQUISITES
Basic knowledge of HTML and web design.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
