Conditions of realization
Manipulations are performed on VMs via VirtualBox to simulate servers. No graphical interface is used to reflect the prod.
Teaching methods
Le formateur présente différents scripts pour la création de base, la gestion adrci et les procédures RMAN.
Course schedule
1 Stand-alone server in File-system and ASM
- Setting up the environment. VM and IP network configuration, Red Hat 8 repositories, DNS server, NTP server.
- System configuration for Oracle Stand-Alone Server.
- RDBMS silent installation. Oracle*Net configuration.
- Database creation in FileSystem.
- Grid Infrastructure installation, ASM disk configuration.
- Migration from FS to ASM.
- RU (ex PSU) installation.
Hands-on work
Set up the environment and handle the various points covered in this chapter.
2 Dataguard
- Installation of a second Oracle server and direct application of RU.
- Setting up a physical Dataguard.
- Broker configuration.
- Switchover and failover test.
- Transparent customer connections.
- Setting up an Observer for automatic failover.
Hands-on work
Handling a Dataguard.
3 RAC cluster
- Network configuration (public network, Interconnect).
- Shared disks.
- Setting up a two-node RAC cluster.
- Creating a database on a cluster.
Hands-on work
Setting up a 2-node RAC cluster.
4 RAC cluster and Dataguard
- Configuration of a second 2-node RAC cluster.
- Setting up a physical dataguard between the two clusters.
Hands-on work
Setting up a Dataguard with two RAC clusters.

Bonnes connaissances de l’architecture Oracle, de son administration et de l’utilisation de RMAN. Bonnes connaissances en Linux Red Hat et en réseau IP.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
