1 OpenSearch
- Comparison with ElasticSearch.
- What is OpenSearch Dashboard?
- Use cases.
- Architectural principles and key concepts: nodes, indexes, shards and replication.
Hands-on work
Tool installation and configuration.
2 How OpenSearch works
- JSON format and HTTP REST API.
- Simple and compound document searches.
- Mapping and data types.
- Document and data analysis.
- Scoring and boost management.
- Aggregations.
Hands-on work
Storing data in OpenSearch. First simple search queries.
3 Advanced features
- Choosing and/or defining your own analyzer.
- Filtering and sorting results.
- Suggestion and highlighting.
- Geographic relevance of queries (Geopoint).
- Percolation (Percolate Query).
- Ingestion and pipelines.
Hands-on work
Handling and modifying data indexing with OpenSearch. Query, filter and sort results.
4 Using OpenSearch Dashboard
- Presentation of the OpenSearch Dashboard GUI.
- Working context: index-pattern.
- Time filter.
- Data mining.
- Metrics creation.
- Graphics creation.
Hands-on work
Advanced data search with OpenSearch. Graphing.
5 Advanced visualization with OpenSearch Dashboard
- The different types of aggregation.
- The different visualizations.
- Graphics configuration.
- Setting up a map using Geopoint.
- Create and share a dashboard.

PREREQUISITES
Basic knowledge of development and administration of Windows or Linux/Unix operating systems.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
