1 Introduction to Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
- Overview of RDS roles and services.
- RDS applications and use cases in modern environments.
2 What's new in Windows Server 2022 for RDS
- Integration with cloud solutions and hybrid environments.
- Security enhancements: MFA, device management and threat protection.
- Implementing Azure compatibility for infrastructure extension
3 Installing and configuring Remote Desktop Services
- Prerequisites for installing RDS under Windows Server 2022.
- Configure RDS license servers.
- Setting up connection brokers to ensure connection distribution.
Hands-on work
Installation of RDS, Broker, RDWeb and RDHost infrastructure.
4 User connection and service management
- Create and manage RDP connections.
- Configure session profiles and Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
- Connect local resources and redirect devices.
Hands-on work
Advanced configuration of remote connection clients.
5 Configuration and customization via Group Policy Options (GPOs)
- Use GPOs for unified control of user environments.
- Security settings, folder redirection and user configurations.

Deploy specific GPOs for the RDS environment.
6 Security and remote access with TS Gateway and RDS Web Access
- Implementation of the TS Gateway role for secure external access.
- Use of the Web Access server for web access to RDS applications.

Configure TS Gateway and secure Web access parameters.
7 RDS optimization and maintenance
- Optimization tools: Performance Monitor and Event Viewer.
- Troubleshooting: monitoring connections, diagnosing latencies and errors.
- High availability and redundancy strategies for RDS.

PREREQUISITES
Good knowledge of Windows workstation management.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
