1 The smart building
- Review of definitions, specific vocabulary and acronyms.
- Define the challenges and regulatory context of smart building.
- Discover smart building professions and the skills required.
Demonstration
The speaker establishes the smart building framework.
2 French and European regulations in force
- The goal of carbon neutrality in 2050.
- RE2020 and smart building.
- The Tertiary Eco-Energy Decree, the BACS Decree, the Thermostat Decree.
- The ELAN law, the ESSOC law, RGPD, accessibility, mobility...
- European Directive 2010/31/EU.
- Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI), Digital Services Act (DSA).
Demonstration
The speaker presents all the regulations and discusses them with participants.
3 Smart building labels
- Distinguish between regulations, standards, frames of reference and labels.
- Ready2Services(R2S) for the commercial sector and R2S for the residential sector.
- The NF Habitat connected building section.
- The GOFLEX energy flexibility index.
- The WiredScore label (tertiary and residential), the SmartScore label and other smart building labels.
Group discussion
Discussions between participants and speaker.
4 Understanding the BACS decree
- The buildings concerned.
- The obligations and objectives of the BACS decree, followed by an example of deployment.
- Budgetary implications and financing of the decree.
Storyboarding workshops
Group work and reflection on future developments and regulations.

PREREQUISITES
No special knowledge required.
TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
