Very good knowledge of the Windows Server environment (Active Directory and TCP/IP).
Course schedule
1 Architecture and implementation
- The SCOM 2012 ecosystem.
- Architecture roles. Resource pools.
Hands-on work
Installation of prerequisites, Stand Alone infrastructure.
2 Configuration
- Administration group: configuration parameters.
- Interfaces. Views and dashboards.
- Access management.
Hands-on work
Configuration of alerts, database cleanup, notifications. Install operation console, Web console. Access management and view creation.
3 Deploying the supervisory agent
- Active Directory Integration.
- Extensive, manual installation.
- Management of supervisory agents.
Hands-on work
Implement Active Directory Integration functionality.
4 Administration packs
- Importing and exporting.
- Extension of supervision/Authoring.
- How to seal administration packs?
- Run As Accounts/profil.
Hands-on work
Import and export an administration pack. Supervision extension.
5 The reports
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Report Server.
- Methodology for creating customized reports.
Hands-on work
Configuring SQL Reporting Services. Install Report Server. Create a custom report.
6 Modeling your services
- Synthetic transactions.
- Distributed applications.
- Measuring service quality.
Hands-on work
Create synthetic transactions and a distributed application.
7 Supervision of SNMP devices and non-Windows systems
- SNMP, basic and advanced supervision.
- Supervision of non-Windows systems.
Hands-on work
Discover and supervise SNMP devices and Linux servers.
8 Supplements
- Backup and restore planning.
- The Agentless Exception Monitoring (AEM) function.
- Supervision of resources in unapproved environments (DMZ/Workgroup).
- .NET application monitoring (APM).
- Migration from SCOM 2007 to 2012.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
