1 Understanding ISD functions
- The scope and main activities of the IT Department.
- The different applications and their evolution: ERP, business software, cloud, SaaS...
- ISD resources and budgets.
Hands-on work
Description of the scope of the IT function in different companies.
2 Master the fundamentals of IS management control
- Reminders: the basics of management control, the role of the management controller...
- The specifics and challenges of IS management control.
- IT management control maturity levels.
Hands-on work
Building the different " bricks " of management control.
3 Controlling IT costs
- Identify different IT costs: typology and specificity.
- Manage various IT products and services: catalog, contracting, invoicing...
- Manage the IT function's material, human and financial resources.
- Manage assets, contracts and investments.
Case study
Analysis of an IT department's cost structure.
4 IT management skills
- Know the different operating modes: cost center, profit center, value center...
- Identify the different shared services management models: GIE, CSP...
- Choosing between outsourcing and insourcing.
- Position and link IT controlling to other company departments.
5 Implementing different control methods
- Costing methods: full costing, ABC/ABM, TDABC, unit costing, etc.
- IT cost benchmarks: CIGREF, AFAI...
- Manage and steer IT activities and projects, and organize their budgetary processes.
- Create an ISD dashboard and use it as a steering and reporting tool.

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.
ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.
TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.

• At the end of each course or seminar, ORSYS provides participants with a course evaluation questionnaire that is analysed by our instructional teams.
• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.
