Integrating land issues into urban planning documents at all levels

  • A reminder of the general principles of the French Planning Code.
  • The regional scale and the strategic dimension through SRADDET / SDRIF / SAR.
  • The supra-community scale and the integrative approach of SCOTs.
  • The inter-municipal and communal scale, from local strategy to regulatory and operational application through the PLU.
  • - Quid des territoires au RNU ?

Collective reflection on land issues.

Mastering the challenges of land sobriety

  • The challenges of combating soil artificialisation
  • Why protect soil?
  • What are the consequences of artificialisation?
  • What are the findings and trends over the last few decades?
  • The main drivers of artificial growth
  • A historical approach: 40 years of land sobriety and beyond?
Case study
Working as a group, reconstruct development scenarios based on information provided by the study area, and estimate densification potential and any need for extension.

  • Artificialized or non-artificialized, a nomenclature still under construction.

Reaching ZAN through an appropriate land strategy

  • The levers to be mobilized to achieve ZAN by 2050.
  • The challenges of densification.
  • Urban density, a concept with very different perceptions, how to densify?
  • Densification vs. extension.
  • Land strategy as the main tool to be mobilized.
  • Land diagnostics and in-depth knowledge of the area.
  • The choice of land management and usage management tools.
  • Governance and implementation.
Case study
Working as a group, using the elements discussed on Day 1 and the information provided on land qualifications, reconstruct the development rationale based on the ZAN levers and draw up a land strategy to simulate the achievement of the ZAN objective over the next decade.

PREREQUISITES

TRAINER QUALIFICATIONS
The experts leading the training are specialists in the covered subjects. They have been approved by our instructional teams for both their professional knowledge and their teaching ability, for each course they teach. They have at least five to ten years of experience in their field and hold (or have held) decision-making positions in companies.

ASSESSMENT TERMS
The trainer evaluates each participant’s academic progress throughout the training using multiple choice, scenarios, hands-on work and more.
Participants also complete a placement test before and after the course to measure the skills they’ve developed.

TEACHING AIDS AND TECHNICAL RESOURCES
• The main teaching aids and instructional methods used in the training are audiovisual aids, documentation and course material, hands-on application exercises and corrected exercises for practical training courses, case studies and coverage of real cases for training seminars.
• At the end of each course or seminar, ORSYS provides participants with a course evaluation questionnaire that is analysed by our instructional teams.
• A check-in sheet for each half-day of attendance is provided at the end of the training, along with a course completion certificate if the trainee attended the entire session.

TERMS AND DEADLINES
Registration must be completed 24 hours before the start of the training.
